ITALIA

Una mattina molto buona da Hartford, CT!
Translates as "A very good morning from Hartford, CT!". But is it? Is it really? :)

So here I am, slowly but surely turning nocturnal (thanks college), and at this point in time I think it's safe to say that school is a health hazard that should be taken seriously, for the sake of the future. Overdosing on coffee is a definite must to stay conscious, and lack of sleep no doubt will shorten life spans greatly. Definitely part of that character building hype.

Wild for Italy! Number one on my to-do-list
Cafe in Venice, laced with autumn tinted vines
Venitian alleys: seemingly straight out of a storybook
What I'd do to get lost in all that :)
Enchantingly mysterious, with a delicate charm entirely different from that of any other city I've been in. Haven't been in many, though. YET, that is :) Wait just a bit more and keep watch for me, Italy. I'm coming.

PHEWW.

Week two of school: officially complete. Well deserved pat on the back.

Only week two, and already exhausted to the max. College can take a lot out of you. I find it amazing how most students at our school can ration out their time and work out in between classes, sports, extracurriculars, and self-studies. Managing time is most definitely NOT one of my fortes. The weight of academic college life feels like an 800 lb boulder on my shoulders (127 hours reference! Watch it! You won't regret it, guaranteed :) ) and lately I've been having the urges to partake in activities such as these.

Sky-Diving?
You know it.

Parasailing in the tropics?
MHMM.
Extreme? Very.
Ecstasy past the limit? Yup.
Effective stress relieving outlet? I think so :)

...aaaaaaaaaaaand back to reality. It'll happen. But as for the present: more studying, less dreaming :)

GREETINGS...

...from the east!

And so, the rusty gears begin to turn once more. It has already been 4 whole days since the fall term began, and ALREADY I'm swamped with quizzes and readings. It's actually very refreshing to be able to keep occupied 24/7, compared to my very unproductive and sluggish summer (other than getting my driver's license, of course!).

The weather has been very bipolar lately...not only back home in cali, but here in the east as well. For the first few days while unpacking and moving into my dorm, it was extremely humid and uncomfortably hot. Then on the first day of classes, it began to rain, bringing with it an icy chill at night. This continued on for a couple more days, and then, BOOM. Sun shining brightly in a cloudless sky as though the rain had never come. Sigh. Weather oh weather, won't you PLEASE make up your mind.

So here I am at my desk sipping cooled coffee, listening to the lulling chirps of crickets outside the window after completing some work while 99.9% of the students at school is at the Trin-hosted "welcome back" party. YAWWWWWN. Well, time to hit the hay :)
