CL FOR ELLE

OH. MY. GOSH.

Let me take a breather for a second...HOLY CRAP.

Have you guys seen the photos of CL from Elle's October issue? I absolutely cannot, I repeat CANNOT get over some of these photos - they're sheer perfection. Here are some of the photos that were released on Koreaboo --

If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought she was the Korean Cara Delevingne.
Her charisma is on point (per yooj) and her style is impeccable. Fine fresh fierce - the girl's got it on lock. Rock that monochrome.

For those that don't know, CL is the leader of a very popular pop group in Korea called 2NE1. I haven't listened to much K-Pop recently, but my admiration for 2NE1 still stands strong due to their fiercely unique charm. If you don't know what they're all about, go check them out and prepare to be blown away :)

Some of the things from the photos that caught my eye were:
1.) Her rings and things - you don't need to know me well to know that I have a major accessory
                                         obssession (guilty).
2.) Her white nails - YES. White is the definition of elegant, fresh, and classy. And also my favorite
                                  color :)
3.) Her hair color - maybe one day I'll be daring enough to expose my hair to bleach but for now - I'm
                               content with just admiring :P
4.) Peter-Pan Collar - I've really been into collars recently. Feminine, chic, and youthful - what's not
                                   to love?
5.) Her eyes - Despite having monolids, her eyes really pop with makeup.

Hope you guys love the photos as much as I do!

Cheers,
xx Cece

DARK FALL LIPS

I went shopping with one of my best friends last Saturday, with the initial plan to help her find the perfect gown for her violin recital (which I'm super stoked for)...and I ended up picking up a several things along the way. Oy me.

As you can probably tell from the title of this entry YES I did end up buying a lipstick. I normally don't like to wear lipsticks, because they get on literally everything and you have to be conscious of where you're putting your kissers so you can get a sense for when you need to reapply. However, I felt that it was time for a change and tastes do change over time and so I thought - why the heck not?

When I do wear lipstick they're usually in light shades like nude or a creamy pink, so I really went out of town with the lipstick I bought.

Media may definitely be a risk for some as it is a bold/dark burgundy, but the plus side about this lipstick being so dark is that it creates the illusion of thinner lips which I definitely appreciate. Lighter shades like nudes and pinks tend to give my lips a fuller look. I can see how the first thoughts to be associated with with Media would be vampire or goth but interpretations aside...if you like it, who cares really :)

My only recommendation for application is to line your lips before going in with your lipstick. Application was smooth but lining my lips with the lipstick alone proved to be a rather difficult and messy process. However if you're skilled and experienced unlike me, kudos to you my friend!

xx
And so it begins. My obsession with dark vampy lips for the fall and winter seasons

Cheers!

A FRESH START

Wow. WOW.

Firstly, I haven't posted in 2 full years (holy wow).
Secondly, if you ever want a major cringe session - read all your old blog entries.
Thirdly, A LOT has changed since my last entries.

***

This blog will be taking a bit of a different turn in terms of direction, motivation, and content. It will be the place where I dump all of my thoughts, creativity, and updates (as one does in a blog). Enough of that - let's get on with the introduction!!

Hi, it me.
Hey there! My name is Cecilia Cho and I am a 22-year-old aesthetic enthusiast. Fresh out of college. My interests? Makeup, fashion, photography, style, interior...the list goes on. I am by no means a professional; in fact, I am just starting out. Some people may wonder whether it's too late to be "starting out" on a beauty blog at my age, and trust me - I had my doubts too. But I'll take my chances, simply because I'd love it and enjoy it from the bottom of my heart. So come and stay awhile, and get a feel for my tastes, preferences, and style.

And now without further ado...I present to you my blog
